The Tintaya mine project was the first project in the mining sector executed under the supervision and technical assistance of Promat Peru in conjunction with Fabrica Peruana Eternit.
The project consisted of installing a firewall between the truck workshop and the warehouses to provide passive fire protection to the aforementioned parts of the mine.
This wall incorporates 2,190 m2 of PROMATECT®-H boards between 15 mm and 20 mm positioned in three strata to form a panel, 15 m high, 52 m wide and 5 cm thick, and provides 2 hours' fire resistance.
The project took 21 days to complete and was overseen by installation company D-Tech, which, under the supervision of Promat Peru, successfully installed the entire fire protection system. The contracting company was Peruvian consortium SJT.
